The Center for Internet Security has released a list of twenty policies which will enhance the on-line security of any business. Large, medium or small.

It has been assessed that implementing steps one to six will reduce the chance of a successful attack by 90%.

These steps form the backbone of our strategies which stengthen our clients’ defences against unwanted visitors. We use CIS templates as a point of reference to validate our assessments and remedial actions.

Together with showing you common-sense practices, we can help you harden your business against malicious attacks.

“Good IT operations management has always been the foundation for a strong cyberdefense; if you can't do the first, you will fail at the second.”

Many small businesses do not have the staff resource to micro-manage their IT systems. We can carry out tests such as a “restore in anger” of your backups onto one of our servers, check out network security policies and perform full or partial penetration tests.

In most cases, we recommend installing a software package which drills into your network and identifies security issues. We can provide a managed service where remedial actions take place out of business hours or install for a self-managed service.

As part of our audit, we may recommend further third-party software products to enhance the security of your network.
